February 17, 2009

That's the day that America makes the change from analog to ditigal broadcasting.  While it will be a revolution in the quality and variety of programming you can see, it can be a little bit scary.

CBS 8 was the first station to launch a full-power digital TV station in our area.  We remain committed to helping you make the transition.  While February 17, 2009, is the deadline for TV stations to make the change, some stations, including CBS 8, are planning on shutting down our analog service early.  Because of technical issues, we expect to stop broadcasting an analog TV signal around December 1, 2008.

By asking yourself a few easy questions, you'll be able to know whether you'll have to buy equipment in order to keep watching your favorite TV programs after that date.

After answering the questions, if you still are unsure of what to do, you can call us at (334) 271-8888.

Thank you for watching CBS 8 as together we begin this exciting chapter of TV history!
