Golden Apple: Cynthia Pettway
This week, CBS 8 news visits ABC Elementary School in Wilcox County to recognize a special teacher for an outstanding job in the classroom.
This week's Golden Apple teacher is first grade teacher Cynthia Pettway. She was nominated by both a student's guardian and a fellow teacher who both say that she applies a positive spin to her teaching that rubs off on all of those around her. Pettway says she feels blessed to be in the classroom... And attributes a higher power for the spontaneity of thinking of creative ways to teach.
