This week's Golden Apple Teacher is first grade teacher Christina Baltzell.

This teacher instills the importance love, kindness, care and compassion in her students.

Baltzell says that she wants her students to gain a lifelong love for learning and loving each other.

She was nominated by a grandparent of one of her students who says she is deserving of the award because Baltzell is an encourager.

 

This week, CBS 8 news visits Coosada Elementary School in Elmore County to recognize a special teacher for an outstanding job in the classroom.
