This week's Golden Apple Teacher is Health Science teacher Kwanza Thomas.

Thomas is nominated by a student who says she changed his life in a remarkable way..

She started out as a registered nurse... says that she is so appreciative of the Golden Apple Award.

Thomas says that even though she is not a traditional teacher, she pours her heart into her very important job.
