Air Pollution Puts Your Heart at Risk

People exposed to air pollution for extended periods may be at greater risk for a heart attack or stroke.

Doctors at the University of Michigan say the exposure can speed up hardening of the arteries.

Researchers followed more than 5,300 people from US metropolitan areas.
