Anti-Psychotic Drugs Kill Cancer Cells

Scientists believe a drug for schizophrenia may also be able to treat cancer. 

Researchers screened hundreds of drugs to see which ones were effective against cancer stem cells. 

They found the anti-psychotic drug thioridazine killed cancer cells without the toxic side effects of chemotherapy.

Doctors are now planning to test the drug on leukemia patients.
