Are More Mothers Choosing to Breastfeed?

By Alabama News Network

More mothers are choosing to breastfeed their babies.

A report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows a 4-percent increase in the number of mothers nursing their newborns between 2000 and 2008.

The number of moms who continued breastfeeding past six months jumped nearly 10 percent.

The CDC says breastfeeding is good for both mother and baby.
