Asthma is a Health Issue for Women Later in Life

A new, 10-year study finds women in their 40 and 50s with asthma are hospitalized more than twice as often as men in the same age group.

Researchers say until puberty, boys have higher rates of asthma than girls, but during the menopausal years, asthma becomes more of a women’s health issue.
