Atkins-Style Diets Carry Big Risks for Your Heart

Women who use Atkins-Style diets to lose weight may be at greater risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as Heart Disease or Stroke.

A study in the British Medical Journal followed 43,000 women.

Among those on low carbohydrate, high protein diets, researchers saw a 28 percent increase in the number of cardiovascular cases.

Their conclusion is the potential harm from these diets outweighs the benefits of weight loss.
