A new study helps explain why some teenagers start experimenting with drugs while others do not.

Researchers in Vermont discovered a number of brain networks that seem to make some teens more impulsive.

Teenagers who had low brain activity in certain networks were more likely to try alcohol, cigarettes and illegal drugs.
