A new study finds calcium supplements may increase the risk of heart attack by 86 percent.

Doctors in Switzerland say the risk increased only with supplements, not with food rich in calcium.

Researchers say calcium supplements need to be taken with caution, but experts warn that patients should talk to their doctor before stopping or starting any kind of medication.
