Patients with advanced cancer may benefit from treatments that not only control their symptoms, but also provide exercise and nutritional counseling.

Programs for early stage cancer usually do include those services - now researchers in Canada are suggesting a similar approach for more advanced cases.

The study finds that diet and exercise can improve patients' fatigue and physical endurance, as well as mood and quality of life.
