Researchers say genes could play a part in how long toddlers sleep at night.

They evaluated information on about 1,000 Canadian twins born between 1995 and 1998.

They found genes greatly influenced the childrens’ sleep patterns at night especially for short sleepers.

When it came to daytime naps.. environmental factors had a bigger influence.
