Dental Plaque Could Be Deadly

A new study suggests a link between dental plaque and premature cancer death.

Researchers tracked 1400 people over 24 years, and found dental plaque was associated with a 79 percent increase in dying early from cancer.

The risk was much higher for men.

The authors caution the absolute risk of death is low, and their findings don't prove that dental plaque causes or definitely contributes to cancer.
