Type 2 diabetics who have severe hypoglycemia are at higher risk of cardiovascular disease, according to a new study.

Patients with severe hypoglycemia have dangerously low blood sugar levels.

The study’s authors say patient education and close monitoring of blood glucose levels can be useful in preventing hypoglycemia.
