Exercising to Lose Weight

Even short amounts of brisk physical activity can help people lose weight.

That’s the finding from researchers at the University of Utah who discovered the intensity of an activity matters more than the duration.

The current recommendation is for Americans to get at least 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise a week in at least eight to ten minute periods.

The new research shows if the activity is intense- there is no time requirement.
