A mother's health is long known to influence the health of her baby, but now doctors in Norway have found a connection between pre-eclampsia and cerebral palsy.

Researchers found exposure to pre-eclampsia was associated with an increased risk of Cerebral Palsy in pre-term or low birth-weight babies.

Women with pre-eclampsia usually have high blood pressure and high levels of protein in their urine.
