Having the Flu During Pregnancy Puts Your Child at Risk

A new study suggests being sick while pregnant can increase the risk of having a child with autism.

Researchers looked at nearly 97,000 children in Denmark and found kids whose mothers had the flu during pregnancy were twice as likely to develop autism.

Kids whose mothers had a fever that lasted more than a week while pregnant had a three-fold risk.
