Help for Acid Reflux Patients

A new bracelet-shaped device seems to be providing major relief for people with chronic acid reflux.

The device encircles the valve between the esophagus and stomach, keeping the valve closed when someone is not eating or drinking.

A study in the New England Journal of Medicine finds it eased symptoms in 92 out of 100 chronic acid reflux suffers.

Eighty-seven percent stopped using acid-suppressing medications.
