Hormone Replacement Therapy is Beneficial for Women Near Menopause
Researchers have come full circle on hormone therapy.
A major reappraisal of a landmark report finds hormone replacement therapy near the onset of menopause will benefit most women, not just for relief for hot flashes, but also for reducing the risk of heart disease and bone fractures. Hormone therapy dropped off dramatically after a 2002 study found that the risks far outweighed the benefits among older women.
