How to Instill Healthy Eating Habits in Your Children

New research in the journal Pediatrics finds it is a common practice for parents to try to restrict the food intake of their overweight children or pressure them to eat if they were not overweight.

The study's authors say instead of doing those things parents should try behaviors that are known to protect against unhealthy weight gain.

For example, parents should encourage eating nutritious meals together as a family, and setting a good example with your own healthy food choices.
