There may be no need to run if you want to keep your heart healthy.

A new study in Berkeley, California discovered walking can lower the risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes just as much as running.

Researchers followed thousands of people for six years and found similar health benefits for walkers and runners who covered the same distance.
