Millions of Cancer Cases Could be Prevented with Vaccines
Viruses and other infections cause about 2 million new cancer cases every year, but researchers say they could be prevented.
HPV and hepatitis can lead to gastric, liver and cervical cancers. There are vacccines to prevent the infections, but they are hard to get in poor countries. French researchers say if the treatments were available to everyone more than a millon lives could be saved each year. |
