Another study finds severe depression and other mood disorders may be linked to infections.

Danish researchers followed 90,000 people for more than 50 years.

They found those who were treated for an infection were at a higher risk of later being diagnosed with a mood disorder.

Scientists speculate that stress on the immune system may have an effect on the brain.
