More Bans on Indoor Tanning

By Molly Grady

More countries are keeping minors away from tanning beds.

A study in the Archives of Dermatology says 11 nations now have laws that ban minors from tanning indoors.

Those numbers are up from just two in 2003.

Ten of those countries are European and the other is Brazil.

The US has no federal law restricting indoor tanning, but some states do.

Research suggests indoor tanning can increase the risk of skin cancer.
