New Study: Use Caution When Giving Your Child Acetaminophen
A new study warns parents to be careful about giving their children correct doses of acetaminophen.
The medication is widely available over the counter, but overdosing can cause liver failure and be life threatening. Researchers in Ontario are suggesting better labelling and dosing information. They also recommend that pharmacists keep acetaminophen behind the counter so they can counsel parents on the correct dosage. |
