Red Wine May Not Provide Any Health Benefits For Women

By Molly Grady

A new study is questioning the health benefits of an ingredient found in red wine.

Resveratrol is thought to help prevent certain health problems like diabetes, heart disease even cancer.

But a small study from Washington University in St. Louis found resveratrol supplements did not provide any benefits to healthy middle-aged women.

The researchers say resveratrol may work in combination with other ingredients in red wine.
