Doctors believe they are closer to developing a screening test for ovarian cancer.

Scientists at M.D. Anderson have developed a blood test that detected the disease in a small group of patients.

Larger studies are now needed to confirm the results.

Ovarian cancer is hard to detect because patients don’t usually show symptoms until the cancer has advanced.
