Teens Gain Weight While Watching TV

Another study in the journal Pediatrics finds children and teens who spend more time watching television versus using other electronic media tend to have a higher body mass index.

The authors say TV ads for unhealthy foods may be a bad influence, and many kids who eat while watching tv are distracted and don’t realize when they are full.

The researchers analyzed the media habits of about 90 teenagers.
