The 2012 Olympic games kick off in July and millions of athletes and fans are expected to attend.

Health officials say that such a large concentration of people in one place can be an ideal breeding ground for dangerous diseases.

So officials in London are using technology to help prevent diseases from spreading.

They are building a "health map" to find out where visitors are coming from and where disease outbreaks are occuring around the world.

That knowledge may help prevent a potential pandemic.
