Researchers are also seeing the importance of regular bedtimes for children.

A study in the UK looked at the sleep routines of both boys and girls.

It found that irregular bedtimes are most common for three-year-olds and are linked to lower scores in both reading and math.

The study suggests childhood sleep deprivation could cause continuing health troubles throughout life.
