Trauma Could Put Your Child at Risk for Skin Cancer
Doctors have found a possible link between childhood trauma and skin cancer.
Researchers at Ohio State looked at cancer patients whose childhood included periods of neglect or maltreatment. They found that those patents are at a much greater risk for their cancers to return if they go through a very stressful event. The study suggests that a difficult childhood can affect future immune response, and doctors say those patients should be extra vigilant about their health. |
