Doing More to Treat Hepatitis C

About 3-million Americans are infected with Hepatitis C, but a new study suggests only half of them go for follow up tests to see if the virus has cleared.

That means people may not be getting the treatment they need to prevent liver cancer and other serious complications.

In fact, research from the Centers for Disease Control suggests as many as three out of four people with Hepatitis C do not know they are infected.
