Using Lithium to Treat Mood Disorders

British and Italian researchers reviewed the use of Lithium in treating mood disorders.

They found the drug is effective in preventing suicide, possibly reducing the risk 60-percent.

Lithium is used to stabilize patients with clinical depression and bipolar disorder, helping to keep their moods within normal limits.
