Vitamin D may help lower the risk of stroke.

Researchers followed more than 7,000 Japanese-American men, and found those who consumed the least amount of Vitamin D had a 22 percent higher risk of stroke.

Sunlight is a good source of Vitamin D.

It can also be found in supplements, fortified milk, fatty fish and eggs.
