By Molly Grady

The Centers for Disease Control says this year's West Nile outbreak is on track to be the deadliest ever.

This week alone cases jumped 35 percent.

The virus has killed 118 people this year.

Eighteen people in Alabama have contracted the virus, and seven of those cases are in Montgomery.

Forty-eight states have been hit, with 40 percent of all cases in Texas.
