Most concussions among youth football players happen during games, not practice according to a new study in the Journal of Pediatrics.

Researchers followed nearly 500 players between the ages of eight and 12.

Twenty children received concussions- two during practice and 18 during games.

Older children were three times more likely to hit their heads, and the majority involved helmet to helmet contact.
