Which Kids are More Likely To Suffer From Depression as Adults?

Kids who suffer from abdominal pain are more likely to have anxiety and depression as adults.

New research in the journal of pediatrics tracked adults who had unexplained abdominal pain as children and found fifty one percent had an anxiety disorder during their lifetime.

Forty percent had depression at some point in their lives.

Chronic or recurrent abdominal pain can affect up to twenty percent of school age children and many patient have what is considered to be unexplained abdominal pain.
