Why Are Some Obese People Metabolically Healthy?

A new study is shedding light into why some obese people remain metabolically healthy.

Obesity is usually linked to an increased risk of diabetes and heart disease, but about 35 percent of obese people do not develop these metabolic diseases.

Now, a new study out of Ireland suggests chronic inflammation is what may lead to heart disease and diabetes.

Researchers found people who were metabolically healthy had low levels of inflammation regardless of whether they were obese or not.
