You don't have to hit the road to celebrate New Year's Eve in style -- there are plenty of activities in Montgomery to help you ring in 2013.

In downtown Montgomery, you and your family can take part in the first ever Night of Lights. This free street party features live music, a laser light show, confetti and fireworks. It'll be held on Commerce Street near the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center.

Montgomery's own country music star Jamey Johnson performs at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre on New Year's Eve night.

There's also a party cruise aboard the Harriott II riverboat for those 21 years old and up.

Garrett Colisem will be transformed for the Classic Hollywood New Year's Eve Gala. You'll find dining, dancing, a champagne toast, plus you'll still be able to see the ball drop in New York City and the Moon Pie drop in Mobile.
