What's Right: Hope Inspired Ministries

Tools

By Glenn Halbrooks

A non-profit group in Montgomery is dedicated to giving people who are chronically unemployed a hand up, instead of just a handout.

Hope Inspired Ministries was started about two years ago by Michael Coleman, who had plenty of love in his heart. He's an evangelist and U.S. Army veteran.

Coleman's ministry gives students a 13-week course in English, math and job skills, plus a 96-hour internship. Many students don't make it through, but those who graduate say the rigorous classwork was definitely worth it. Many have found, not just jobs, but careers.
