The following is an interview conducted by longtime CBS 8 employee Evelyn Babcock in 1980 on the 20th anniversary of the station.

At that time, the station was still called WSLA and was headquartered in Selma.

Babcock retired as CBS 8's human resources director in 2011, after serving the station in several capacities.
