TUSKEGEE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a police officer in Tuskegee has been arrested and faces rape charges.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Alabama Department of Public Safety announced the charges late Thursday.

Officials say 38-year-old Tuskegee Police Officer Levy Kelly has been charged with three counts of second-degree rape and three counts of enticement of a child for immoral purposes.

Authorities say no further information would be released due to the ongoing investigation.

Kelly was booked into the Notasulga City Jail due to overcrowding at the Macon County Jail. It wasn't known early Friday whether he has an attorney.
