15-Year-Old Coosa River Drowning Victim Identified

Here's the name of the 15 year old boy who drowned in the Coosa River. Elmore County deputies identify him as Shalom Nowden. He was a member of the Wetumpka High School football and wrestling teams. Officials say he was swimming near Corn Creek with friends when he hurt his foot and went under. A strong current interfered with his rescue.
