Police ID 2 People Killed in Huntsville Standoff

By Heather VacLav

After a standoff turned deadly in Huntsville Saturday, police identified the two people who died in an apparent murder-suicide.

Authorities say Brandon Titsworth is believed to have shot and killed Ashley Spangler inside a home early Saturday.

A SWAT team responded but didn't enter the house immediately, they found both of their bodies inside the house about five hours later.

Two children ages 2 and 5 also were inside the home, but neither was hurt.

Police say another woman inside the home was shot, but is recovering from serious injuries in the hospital.

The standoff also forced Huntsville Police officers to evacuate and close off part of the neighborhood.
