200+ Pot Plants Found In Pike County

More than 200 marijuana plants are found in Pike County. 

A pilot with the Alabama Department of Public Safety Aviation Unit was flying over the house on County Road 6642 in Banks when he noticed the plants. 

The ABC Board and Pike County Sheriff's Office then began an investigation and discovered 195 plants outside and 18 small plants inside the home. 

48-year-old Luther Green and 47-year-old Ramona Ann Vester were arrested and are charged with trafficking marijuana. 

Lt. Bob Williamson, an investigator said, "It was in the plain wide open, once you walked to the right hand side of the house, there were pots down the side of the house, black pots about one gallon. With plants any where from four inches to 7 feet."

13 guns and grow lights were also taken from the home. Both had bonds set at $50,000 Ramona Vester already bonded out.
