Alabama teachers could soon get a pay raise, according to the state school superintendent.

State school superintendent Tommy Bice says he will seek raises for K through 12 employees. His budget for the 2013-2014 year includes a one percent raise.

Bice says employees haven't received a raise or cost of living adjustment in four years.

Gov. Robert Bentley announced last week that he'll consider raises for teachers and support personnel.
