State troopers investigated six fatal crashes on alabama roadways over the weekend.

Troopers say the accidents happened in Baldwin, Chilton, Conecuh, Etowah, Limestone and Mobile counties.

Three of those killed were not wearing seat belts.

Based on preliminary investigations, troopers say alcohol was not a factor in any of the deadly crashes.

The travel period started Wednesday, November 21 and ran through midnight Sunday, November 25.

State totals for this year's holiday travel period will not be available until later in the year.
