The Auburn Tigers have won their final game at home this season, beating Alabama A&M 51 to 7. That brings the Tigers to 3 wins and 8 losses for the season. It's a year that's disappointed many fans, who are asking what the team should do to improve its record next year.

CBS 8 spoke to fans before the A&M game about their hopes for next year. "Anybody telling you this season's been really good for us is lying to you," said Buddy Gruber. "It's a disappointment obviously. I don't think anybody saw this disaster coming," said Dusty Nix.

But both fans agreed the Tigers can bounce back if Auburn makes the right adjustments. "Maybe you need to change the coaching, maybe you need to change some strategy," said Nix

For some fans, that includes head coach Gene Chizik."Start from the ground up and reset. Maybe from the top down and reset. But maybe just clean house and start over," said Fran Groover.

Not all Tiger fans think Chizik should be replaced, though. "There need to be some changes, but not necessarily starting with Chizik," said Tiger fan Joe McElvey.

There's no clear cut answer among fans who would be a better coach for the Tigers. "There are a lot of good coaches out there, but the question is whether you could lure them away from the programs they're in at the moment," said Nix.

Joe McElvey agreed. "I can't think of anybody in particular in mind that I'd like to go after but, you know, like I said, I think we definitely gotta look at some changes to help improve this team," he said.

University leaders tell CBS 8 no decisions will be made about the coaching staff before a through review of this season. The Tigers will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl this Saturday in Tuscaloosa for their final game of the year.
