Homecoming Fit For Champions; Crimson Tide Welcomed HomeAfter dominating the BCS National Championship game, the Crimson Tide touched down in Tuscaloosa this afternoon and was greeted by hundreds of fans. The Tuscaloosa Airport fence was lined with Alabama fans as they squeezed in to get a glimpse of their National Championship team arriving home. The cheers echoed as the team got off the plane, and fans went wild as Quarterback AJ McCarron and Head Coach Nick Saban approached the crowd. "I'm very proud of what they completed. We do need to start on the challenges of the new season very quickly for the team coming back," Saban says. Alabama has taken home 15 National Championship Titles. But this year, the celebration in downtown Tuscaloosa was said to be bigger than ever. The University Police Department blocked off the strip allowing fans to spill onto the streets. A possibility after Saban denied rumors he was leaving for the NFL. He says Alabama is where he belongs. Fans are also giving praise to the South Eastern Conference, which now holds seven consecutive BCS titles. Most Viewed
